Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Open Club mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Open Club, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Rounds, Matches & Payments

• Open Club enables members to create, discover, and join golf rounds and racket sport matches ("Rounds").
• Hosts are responsible for setting accurate details, including date, format, player count, and any member or visitor rate.
• Any green fees, court fees, or charges are payable to the relevant venue. Open Club facilitates coordination and does not guarantee bookings, pricing, or venue availability unless expressly stated.
• If a host cancels a Round, the Round may be cancelled for all participants.

4. Community Conduct

You agree to use the Service respectfully and lawfully. You will not harass other users, post unlawful or misleading content, impersonate others, or misuse community features such as the Show Up Score, messaging, or leaderboards. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these standards.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Open Club a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Open Club name, logo, and all related branding and software are owned by Open Club and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Participation in sporting activity carries inherent risk, and you take part in Rounds at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open Club disclaims all warranties and is not liable for injuries, disputes, or arrangements between users or with venues.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Club shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm to Open Club or other users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Open Club operates across the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
